Covid-19 update Amaresa Resort Koh Phangan

Covid-19 Update

Thailand eases travel restrictions further from March 1st.

From March 1st 2022 travelling to Thailand has become easier as the Thai government has further lifted the restrictions for entry of the country. The most important measures are included below.

Thailand has launched the Test & Go scheme, under which travellers need to spend the 1st night upon arrival in an approved SHA++ accredited, prepaid hotel. The also need to take a RT-PCR test on the 1st day. If the outcome is negative, you are free to travel anywhere in the country. You will also be supplied with a Self-Test Kit for a test on day 5, the result of which you will need to report to the authorities.

Before travelling to Thailand, you will have to have a Thailand Pass, a medical certificate with a negative RT-PCR test less than 72 hours before the flight to Thailand, an insurance policy with coverage of USD20.000, proof of the prepayment of SHA++ hotel and a certificate of Covid-19 vaccination or recovery.

Much to our delight, we are seeing that from the start of January the tourists have started coming back to the island Koh Phangan and Amaresa Resort again. We are confident that the worst period is behind us and that we are rapidly moving ahead towards a situation where our beloved guests visit our resort just like back in the days. We are certainly looking forward to receiving you again!
