1. Where is the Amaresa Resort located?

Amaresa Resort is located on the island Koh Phangan in Southern Thailand. To reach Koh Phangan from Bangkok, easiest travel route is to take a 1-hour flight to the neighbouring island Koh Samui and then a ferry of approximately an hour.

Alternatively you can take a 1-hour flight to the city Surat Thani and from there it is a 2 hour drive to the Don Sak pier, where there are several ferries to the island Koh Phangan. There are several ferries with different time schedueles. This can also vary per season. 

Amaresa Resort is located on the hill 800 meters South of Haad Rin on the Southern tip of the island Koh Phangan. From Haad Rin a road going up the hill leads to our resort. The road has some steep parts and is partially paved. It takes 15 to 20 minutes on foot to reach us from the city centre of Haad Rin. 

2. How is the road on the island Koh Phangan?

Driving during the night can sometimes be dark. We recommend our guests to keep a flashlight with them if they decide to travel in the dark. 

3. Does Amaresa Resort have a transfer service? 

It might happen that a taxi driver is not available to drive you to Amaresa Resort from the centre of Haad Rin. Prior to our guests arrival we advise them to make use of the transfer service that our hotel offers. We provide this transfer service for free during check-in and check-out. For other transfers than check-in or check-out we charge a fee from city centre to the hotel for 50Thb per person. We recommend our guests to send us their itinerary before departure. 

2. How to get to the island Koh Phangan?

Amaresa Resort is located at the Southern tip of the island Koh Phangan near to Haad Rin.

To reach us, take a 1-hour flight from Bangkok to neighboring island Koh Samui, from where you can take a ferry (approximately 1-hour) from the Big Buddha Pier to Haad Rin. We provide a free pickup service from Haad Rin.

Alternatively, you can take a local flight, the bus or train from Bangkok to Surat Thani, from where you can take a bus to the Don Sak pier. From there you take the ferry to the Thong Sala pier on the island Koh Phangan. A 45 minutes taxi drive from Thong Sala will take you to Haad Rin.

3. What is the ferry schedule to Koh Phangan?

There are several ferries with service to Koh Phangan. The timings of each ferry service can vary, and for the latest schedules we recommend you the following travel sources:

4. How far is Amaresa Resort located from the pier/ beach /city centre of Haad Rin?

Amaresa Resort is located on the hill 800 meters south of Haad Rin on the Southern tip of the island Koh Phangan. From the pier of Haad Rin to the resort it is 1km. And from the beach it is 800m to our resort.

5. Does Amaresa Resort have transfer service?

Yes, we provide a pick-up service to and from Haad Rin centre for a fee of 50THB per guest. This service is free of charge for the check in and check out.

6. Does Amaresa Resort have parking area?

Amaresa Resort has a parking area for motorbikes and a cars.

7. What are the check-in and check-out times of Amaresa Resort?

The check-in time is from 2PM. The check-out time is at 12PM/noon.

8. What time does the reception open/close?

The reception is open from 8AM till 10PM.

9. How much does an extra one-person bed cost?

Our double and twin rooms/ bungalows are suitable for 1 or 2 persons. An extra bed can be placed in the AC Rooms and costs 500 THB per night. Amaresa Resort also has Triple Fan Bungalows which can accommodate up to 3 persons.

10. What are the opening times of the restaurant and bar?

The restaurant and bar are open from 8AM till 10PM

11. Does Amaresa Resort provide free WiFi in the room?

Yes, Amaresa Resort provides free WiFi in the rooms or bungalows, restaurant and bar.

12. Are pets allowed?

No, we do not allow pets in the rooms or bungalows

13. Does Amaresa Resort need a deposit or a payment in advance?

Yes, we require a deposit of advance payment of 10% of the total booking sum.

14. How much does Amaresa Resort charge for cancellation?

Our standard cancellation policy is as follows: 30 days in advance or more: full amount refunded. 14 days in advance or more: 50% refunded. A cancellation less than 14 days in advance is non-refundable.

Due to the exceptional situation of the Covid-19 pandemic and the uncertainty created in the possibilities to travel, we have adapted our cancellation policy. We have relaxed the terms for refund to 14 days in advance for a full refund and 7 days for a refund of 50% of the payment.

15. What are the costs of a late check out?

A late check-out can be booked on the basis of availability for 50% of the room price.
